Bowls SA Club of the Year 2018/19

Night Owls

Night Owls
Night Owls is a great night and everyone is welcome to join us each Tuesday at 6.30 pm for a 7 pm start. Our club rooms are very swish as they have just been renovated.

Even though we play in teams of 4 individuals and groups of 2 or 3 are welcome to join us as we will make up a team of 4 for you if we can.(and usually this works out really well).

Coaching is available so don’t worry if you have never held a bowl as our coaches will have you playing like a champion in no time. Club bowls are available and this year night owlers will be able to access 32 pairs of brand new Henselite XG bowls of varying sizes.

Cost is only $8 and there is also a raffle on the night which consists of a number of meat trays  from our Sponsor Haydn’s at the Burnside Village plus wine, chocolates etc

There’s a sausage sizzle available when you arrive and sometimes you can buy a chicken shaslik. The bar is open at 6.15 pm and our drinks are very cheap.

Approximately every fortnight the club provides pizzas or pies and sausage rolls for supper.

Oh have we also mentioned that you actually get out on the green and bowl………..each team plays 7 ends and then we have a break during which the President may tell a great joke or not and then everyone ventures out for another game of 7 ends against another team. There are 2 divisions so that people are playing others of a like standard. The winners of each division receive a bottle of top wine each at the end of the night. There is great music during the game and you will see people bopping away on our greens.

The starting date is Oct 22nd and the first night will be a practice and coaching for new players

There is lots of laughter during the night and many people remain at the finish of the night to have a chat and a drink.

So if you are thinking of playing night owls  then we recommend The Beaumont Bowling Club which was named Club of the Year by Bowls SA this year. A great BBC team will look after you and make you feel very welcome.

Why not give it a go……..
